Let's Talk Types
As a fashion lover I have come to realize that it is very important for each individual person to dress to their body type and to highlight not hide their features. In this segment I hope to have you screaming "Hallelujah" as you find the clothes that work the best and the clothes you should just flat-out not wear for your body type. So let's talk types...
The "Pear" Body Type:
Slim on top, curvy on the bottom. Kim Kardashian is an example of this body type, as a great example she accentuates her shoulders and waist which are some of a pear-shaped body's best features.
DO wear strapless or off-the-shoulder dresses or tops to show off your top-section.
DO wear wider hemmed pants to balance the hip-to-leg proportion.
DON'T show off in skinny or tight leggings.
DON'T cover up those beautiful shoulders, those are your golden tool.
The "Rectangle" Body Type:
Since your body type is basically the same shape all the way through you need to create different dimensions using clothing. Add some curves and use slits in skirts or dresses to add a fun element of surprise.
DO wear scoop neck tops to show off your chest area.
DO wear tops with ruffles or collars to decorate your chest.
DO layer as this will add more dimensions and elements to your outfit.
DON'T wear overwhelming patterns as this will completely swallow you up and won't accentuate your beautiful body.

The "Apple" Body Type:
Opposite of the pear shape, you come more heavyset on the top and slimmer on the bottom. Your legs are your best asset and showing them off and accentuating them is your best fashion bet.
DO wear bras with good support and lift to show off those beauties.
DO test your luck with different belts to show your tiny waist- the separator between your top and bottom.
DO go for monochromatic looks as you will look more put-together and in unison.
DON'T wear very low-cut or open tops as this will distract and ruin the clean look you had.

The "Hourglass" Body Type:
The key to this body type is Balance! As your shoulders and hips as very similar proportion and you have a a very tiny waist you must balance your body through your clothing. Avoid bulk clothing as you want to show off your curves.
DO wear tight-fitted dresses to show off your great mid-section.
DO wear skinny or tight-fitted jeans to give your legs some definition.
DO wear a belt to enhance your barely-there waist.
DON'T try to hide your gorgeous curves in baggy clothing.

Comment your body shape and you favorite item of clothing for that body shape!
